Money is a touchy subject because it is many people’s God.Matthew 6:24No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.Ye cannot serve God andmammon.
STEWARDSHIP
It is very foundational in the Christian life that you understand you have what you have because God gave it to you.1 Corinthians 4:1-7Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, andstewardsof the mysteries of God.2 Moreover it is required instewards, that a man be found faithful.3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.God is using the Apostle Paul to say -I don’t care what you think of me because I’m not going to stand before you one day.4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he thatjudgethme is the Lord.5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and toApollosfor your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.7 Forwhomakeththee to differ from another?andwhat hast thou that thou didst not receive?now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thouhadstnot received it?

Matthew 25:14-30For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, anddelivered unto themhis goods.15 And unto onehe gavefive talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.18 But he that had received one went anddiggedin the earth, and hid his lord's money.19 After a long timethe lord of those servants cometh, andreckonethwith them.RECKON-To enumerate serially or separately; to name or mention one after another or in due order;to count the details20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thoudeliveredstunto me five talents: behold,I have gained beside them five talents more.21 His lord said unto him,Well done, thou good and faithful servant:thou hast been faithfulover a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
STEWARDSHIP
God uses the word STEWARD in relationship with moneyLuke 16:1-15Andhe said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had asteward;and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee?give an account of thy stewardship;for thoumayestbe no longer steward.3 Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lordtakethaway from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.4 I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.5 So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How muchowestthou unto my lord?6 And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.7 Then said he to another, And how muchowestthou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely:for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.10He that isfaithfulin that which is least isfaithfulalso in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.If you are faithful, God gives you more.11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trustthetrue riches?

90% of all your problems could be solved by two things.Schedule– organization of your timeBudget– organization of your moneyHow we handle our treasure determines how we are trusted by God with other things.THEREFORE WE MUST BUDGET OUR TREASURE to properly manage it.TO PROPERLY BUDGET WE MUST BEGIN WITH THE TITHE.
STEWARDSHIP
THE TITHE COMES FIRSTProverbs 3:9‑12‑Honourthe LORD with thy substance, and with thefirstfruitsofallthineincrease:10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:12 For whom the LORDlovethhecorrecteth; even as a father the son in whom hedelighteth. There are two types of increase:1. Fromnothingtosomething.- This is what this verse is talking about.2. Fromexpensestoprofit.

THE TITHE IS HOLY BECAUSE IT BELONGS TO GODLeviticus 27:32‑And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoeverpassethunder the rod, thetenth shall be holyunto the LORD.THE TITHE COMES FIRSTTHE TITHE IS HOLY BECAUSE IT BELONGS TO THE LORD
STEWARDSHIP
THE TITHE IS A REMINDER THAT WHAT YOU HAVE COMES FROM GODGod gave you everything you have.Deuteronomy 14:22‑23‑Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the fieldbringethforth year by year. 23) And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and ofthineoil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks;that thoumayestlearn to fear the LORD thy God always.
STEWARDSHIP
THE TITHE IS NOT BASED ON THE LAWThe tithe was only reinforced by the law but was happening before the law was given.Genesis 14:20‑And blessed be the most high God, which hath deliveredthineenemies into thy hand. And he gave himtithesof all.Genesis 28:22‑And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely givethe tenthunto thee. How did Abraham or Jacob know to tithe when he didn’t have a Bible?
STEWARDSHIP
JESUS SAID EVERY PERSON SHOULD TITHE; Even Lost PeopleMatthew 23:23Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise andcummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith:these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.Luke 11:42But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God:these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Malachi 3:6For I am the LORD,I change not;therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saiththe LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?8Will a man rob God?Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee?In tithes and offerings.9 Ye are cursed with a curse: forye haverobbed me,even this whole nation.10 Bring ye all thetithesinto the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saiththe LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.11 AndI will rebuke the devourerfor your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saiththe LORD of hosts.12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saiththe LORD of hosts.
