What Does the bible say about God’s will?
James 4:13-1513 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:14 Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even avapour, thatappearethfor a little time, and thenvanishethaway.15 For that ye [ought] to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
Matthew 6:9-109 In this manner, therefore, pray:Our Father in heaven,Hallowed be Your name.10“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, asit isin heaven.”
The Will of God is to be carried out!
Luke 22:42“Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.”
John 6:38-4038 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one whichseeththe Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Hebrews 13:20-2120 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which iswellpleasingin his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.
The Will of God Can be Understood!
Ephesians 5:17“Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”
Proverbs 3:5-65 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
The Will of God is proven by us!
1 Peter 2:15“For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:”
Romans 12:2“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
1 Thessalonians 4:3-83 For this is the will of God, [even] your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification andhonour;5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

The Will of God is Beneficial!

Philippians 2:12-1312 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.
